Ticket Verifiers

Description: Ticket Verifiers – ticket Verifiers need to be at their assigned doors at least 10-15 minutes prior to the doors opening (the doors open approximately ½ hour before each performance) Ticket Verifiers do just that: verify patrons’ tickets and send them into the house for further assistance in locating their seats. They may be asked to remain at the doors during performance to assist with any patron questions, make sure the doors stay closed, etc.

Requirements: Must be able to arrive 45 minutes before the event.

Will-Call Attendant

Description: Will-Call Attendant -The Will-Call Attendant is responsible for the distribution of pre-purchased hard tickets. Key duties include: Arrive at the station 5-10 minutes before the main doors open to the public they are to remain stationed at the will-call podium to hand out hard tickets to patrons, help direct patrons without tickets to the box office for purchase. You will distribute will-call tickets, which are filed alphabetically by last name in a designated black box. Note: Patrons with e-tickets may proceed directly to the auditorium entrance without stopping at the will-call podium.

Requirements: Be able to arrive 45 mins before the event.

Program Distributor

Description: Program Distributor – need to be at their stations at least 10 minutes prior to the doors Hand out programs to patrons. Program distributors may also greet and welcome patrons with a “good evening”, “enjoy the show”, etc.

Requirements: Must be able to arrive 45 minutes before event.

Ushers

Description: Ushers - Stationed at the heads of each aisle, section heads need to be familiar with the rows and seat numbers in the section(s) for which they are responsible. All ushers should be ready to escort all patrons directly to their seats (or the row in which the seat(s) is located), not just provide short descriptions to direct the patrons.

Requirements: Must be able to arrive 45 minutes prior to the event. May be required to stay until the end to assist patrons with seating and ensure auditorium doors remain closed during the performance.

Door Greeter

Description: Door Greeters at the door; Door Greeters will be stationed at the Entrance to the facility 45 minutes prior to each performance. The Door Greeters will open the main doors for each guest and welcome them to the Van Singel Fine Arts Center with a “Good Evening” or “Welcome to the Show” “Welcome to the Van Singel” “Enjoy the show”, etc.

Requirements: Must be able to arrive 45 minutes before event.

Merch Table

Description: Merch Table Manage the merchandise table before the event, during intermission, and at the end of the night. Responsible for engaging with attendees, processing sales, organizing inventory, and ensuring smooth transactions.

Requirements: Must be able to arrive 45 minutes before event. Must be over 18. Must be able to stay the entire event to sell merchandise before, at intermission, and after. (if applicable)
